I Am Embarrassed

Has it really been over a year since my last blog post?!?!?! Where did the time go? I can tell you all that I have not stopped training. Triathlon is as BIG in my life now as it has ever been.

The goal for 2016 was to qualify for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in 2017, which is being held in Chattanooga, TN in early September.

That goal came to life at IRONMAN 70.3 Miami at the end of October. My time goals may not have been reached but for the day and the conditions, I couldn't be happier with how it went. Add to it a slot the World Championships and it made my entire season!

Here are the race stats:

So what did 2016 entail? Here are the numbers for 2016.

Duration by Week:
Average 9:03:40

Swim:
310,829 yards
104:09:34

Bike:
3,599 miles
196:59:13

Run:
595 miles
94:44:37

My run miles were effected by a 4 month hiatus to help with a nagging right knee injury. To this day, it is a work in progress.

Every year my goal is to blog more and share more of my experiences in the sport and my life. 2017 WILL be the year!
